Labour’s National Policy Forum – which is responsible for developing Labour Policy – has published a series of consultation documents on seven priority issues, for anyone to read and respond with their ideas. We want your views on these key issues:
- Building a productive economy
- Affordable housing
- Mental health
- Early years and early intervention
- The crime and policing challenges of the future
- Local transport
- Britain's security and defence priorities
Whether you are a Labour member or not, you can help shape Labour policy by reading the documents and sharing your views in a submission. As well as responding to these consultations as an individual, you can also discuss them in your local Labour Party meeting, and make a submission on behalf of your CLP or branch.
Once you make a submission, National Policy Forum Representatives will consider your ideas and be able to respond to them online. So your views can be heard at the National Policy Forum meeting this summer, please make your initial submissions by 8 June 2016.
This is the beginning of a national conversation about the direction of our party and our country, and you can be a part of it.
