Throughout 2016 the Economy Policy Commission investigated some of the key challenges in building a productive economy. This included how we ensure we have the right skills and infrastructure, how we rebalance the economy between the UK’s regions and nations, and how we develop a proper industrial strategy that supports our strategic industries in order to compete with the rest of the world.
At Annual Conference 2016, we announced a wide ranging consultation into what is needed to deliver a successful industrial strategy.
Today, we are pleased to publish the consultation and invite contributions from across the country- from businesses and business groups to trade unions, third sector organisations and members of the public. Britain has great strengths and enormous potential; together we can build an economy fit for the twenty-first century.
