The Labour Party must retain the good work started in the 2017 and 2019 manifestos, and conference support for a socialist green new deal. This means but not exclusive to:

i) 2030 decarbonisation target

ii) Public ownership and democratic control of the energy system from generation to supply

iii) Publicly owned, integrated transport system based on mass collectivised transit and mobility not individual private ownership; planned decline in aviation

iv) Creation of a National Climate Service to oversee a rapid and transformative transition to a zero carbon economy

v) End of nuclear weapons and energy

vi) No geo fixes such as blue hydrogen and CCS.

vii) Mass retrofit programme under local authority control

viii) Zero carbon construction

ix) Just Transition plan for all workers as part of a whole economy approach to decarboniosation including investment in health and social care

x) Fair share and equitable plans that centre the global south and most communities most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
